Watch the YouTube video to learn about the basic features of Microsoft Word.

Activity 2

Practice the skills that you have seen in the video by completing these tasks:

1. Create a new word document
2. Save it with a sensible name as a 97-2003 document
3. Change the username of the document
4. Add an image
5. Resize the image
6. Add a clipart
7. Insert a table
8. Change the row and column heights
9. Insert a chart
10. Zoom in and out

Create an advertising letter for customers of a mobile communications company. The advert will need to use:

• A table
• A picture

Instead of the YouTube video it may be more helpful to step the students through the key features. They will most likely know how to use Word, but they probably don't know all of the basics.
